Toh-Ka-Lin
Authentic Cantonese cuisine in the heart of Tokyo
VERIFIED LUXURY
We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience goes beyond how your surroundings look — how your visit makes you feel is what you will remember most.
We started in 1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.

One of Tokyo’s oldest and most elegant Chinese fine dining restaurants, Toh-Ka-Lin has resided inside The Okura Tokyo for 50 years. The wood-filled dining room with peach-blossom-patterned panels specializes in exceptional Cantonese cuisine, a relatively uncommon fare in the city. It makes the restaurant a special luxury.
The expansive à la carte menu lists more than 400 dishes, which are served in traditional Cantonese style. A number of them, like Peking duck, are prepared next to your white-linen-topped table. But the menu covers everything from dim sum to bird’s nest soup to wagyu beef with pepper. The authentic fare and attentive service make Toh-Ka-Lin popular with locals and visitors alike.
