Serene luxury villas in Bali’s Nusa Dua
VERIFIED LUXURY
We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience goes beyond how your surroundings look — how your visit makes you feel is what you will remember most.
We started in 1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.
Five-Star
These properties deliver an outstanding experience and consistently offer a highly customized level of service.
Four-Star
These are exceptional properties, offering high levels of service and quality of facility to match.
Recommended
These are excellent properties with consistently good service and facilities.
Soon To Be Rated
As our highly trained, incognito inspectors work to assess properties, our editors check them out ahead of time and provide a sneak preview of what to expect.
Mulia Villas – Nusa Dua, Bali is a tropical oasis made up of stylish private villas located on nearly 75 acres that are tucked into the hills of Nusa Dua. Offering total privacy and relaxation, each villa has an assigned butler who is on call to take care of every detail of your stay.
The property itself was designed to reflect the iconic terraced rice fields of Bali making way for each villa’s lovely views of the Indian Ocean below. Mulia Villas is part of the large Mulia resort complex but retains a sense of privacy and exclusion.

Our Inspector's Highlights
- If you prefer sand-free cabanas instead of the shoreline, hit up one of the six different pools or lay around the private pool back at your villa.
- The resort staffs more than 100 chefs who specialize in a wide range of authentic cuisine from their respective countries, including Korea, Japan, China, France, Thailand, Vietnam and America.
- Included in your room rate are seven activities a day. If fitness is your game, the high-tech gym has a full staff of certified personal fitness trainers as well as yoga and Pilates instructors.
- For the children, Mulia Kidz Club awaits. With ingenious games and original, stimulating activities that focus on fun, the children are not even aware that computer time is limited to only 30 minutes a day.
- The Bali hotel treats every guest to a complimentary high tea, which is served in the beautifully appointed Living Room or The Lounge. This is a grand affair and includes a choice of Indonesian delicacies or a more traditional English-style tea.
Things to Know
- Nearby Geger Beach is one of the most famous Nusa Dua beaches, known for its super-soft white sand and stunning peninsula. It’s a five-minute buggy ride to the beach or you can walk.
- Motorized water sports are not allowed, so there is much tranquility here.
- The resort complex has nine restaurant and bars that guests at the Villas are free to visit, but the private Living Room restaurant is the most exclusive available to villa guests only.
The Rooms
- The large villas range from one bedroom up to the grand six-bedroom Mulia Mansion; each has its own large garden and hydrotherapy swimming pool, which gives you access to a water therapy session at your leisure.
- Villas have a separate Balinese-style pavilion so you can have both indoor and outdoor living experiences. In fact, every door can be opened to the elements, allowing you to take full advantage of the stunning ocean views and breezes.
- Classic décor punctuated with traditional Balinese elements make for luxurious but not stuffy spaces.
- The luxe bathrooms have both indoor and outdoor shower choices plus a Jacuzzi tub.
The Restaurants
- The Café is a very popular choice for all-day dining with seven stations representing seven countries offering cuisine from Asia to Europe.
- There is even more variety for dessert — save time and make room for a trip to the dessert room at The Café, where a tiered chocolate fountain dominates the space.
- Additional restaurant choices include Edogin, a Japanese restaurant with a tempting teppanyaki table and the fine-dining Chinese restaurant, Table 8, which has a menu the size of a small book and features dishes from every major region of China.
- Soleil has a medley of choices ranging from Mediterranean seafood and seven varieties of fresh housemade Italian pasta to pan-Asian fusion foods from Vietnam and Thailand.
