Here, and elsewhere around the hotel, the attention to detail is outstanding. The grandeur, while unmistakable and impressive, is never overbearing and is well-suited to the property’s seafront vibe.

A private stretch of sand lets you take full advantage of the waterfront perch, while a city-center address puts you within arm’s reach of Dubai’s Al Fahidi heritage district, Al Seef creekside retail district, beachfront shopping and dining at La Mer and popular sights like Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Marina.
The Jeffrey Wilkes-designed space lends a sense of place to the posh property that is right at home in multicultural, modern Dubai. Design elements take inspiration from the Jumeirah hotel’s seaside location and the heritage of the Middle East, while other features evoke the vibrant color palette of the Mediterranean and tasteful Asian influences.
The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai is a highlight: a cavern-like escape with private relaxation pods and a range of treatments drawing on influences from Asian and Arabian heritage. A hammam suite adds Middle Eastern flair to your spa session.

Japanese steakhouse Netsu by Australian chef Ross Shonhan (former head chef at London’s Zuma and Nobu’s Dallas outpost) serves up warayaki cuisine that is prepared using a traditional technique of straw fire cooking. While sushi and sashimi lovers won’t be disappointed, the highlight — other than the theatrical live cooking in the open kitchen — is the warayaki-grilled wagyu.
Bar Netsu is a great place to sip on Japanese-inspired cocktails and artisanal sake with recommendations provided by the sake sommelier.
Tasca by José Avillez turns out contemporary Portuguese cuisine in a trendy setting with striking views of the Dubai hotel’s infinity pool and the Arabian Gulf. Recommended dishes include the blue fin tuna tartare, Algarve prawns ceviche and grilled scarlet shrimp.
At The Bay, savor international cuisine ranging from Middle Eastern and Indian to Italian and Japanese, either indoors in the brasserie-style dining room or on the terrace overlooking the beach. Try the ceviche and the tandoori tiger prawns.
