A love letter to the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast, Don Alfonso 1890 is the Chinese outpost of the acclaimed Southern Italian restaurant and boutique hotel of the same name located in the small town of Sant’Anata sui Due Golfi. The most recent iteration of the venue just so happens to have a luxurious Versace twist, thanks to its location within the newly opened Palazzo Versace Macau. Just as the storied fashion house is renowned for its taste, so too is the family-run eatery for its commitment to authentic Southern Italian cuisine.
- In keeping with the original restaurant’s farm-to-table ethos, Don Alfonso 1890 imports produce such as San Marzano tomatoes, Nocellara del Belice olives and Namonte lemons from the family’s own organic farm to provide a genuine epicurean experience.
- Newcomers should start with Don Alfonso’s Menu la Tradizione to get a taste of the venue’s specialties. Highlights include a bevy of organic vegetables served with horseradish ice cream and a saffron-glazed wild grouper.
