Airelles Val d'Isère
A sleek slopeside ski resort in Savoie
VERIFIED LUXURY
We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience goes beyond how your surroundings look — how your visit makes you feel is what you will remember most.
We started in 1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.
Five-Star
These properties deliver an outstanding experience and consistently offer a highly customized level of service.
Four-Star
These are exceptional properties, offering high levels of service and quality of facility to match.
Recommended
These are excellent properties with consistently good service and facilities.

Near the Italian border in one of France's swankiest ski resorts, Airelles Val d'Isère sits on the Place de Neige at the foot of more than 180 miles of slopes. The family-friendly hotel offers ski-in/ski-out access to what's considered one of the most stunning ski areas in Europe — and it is conveniently located in the heart of the picturesque, stone-chalet-clad alpine village.
Nodding to traditional Savoyard architecture, the wooden-chalet-style resort blends into the natural backdrop of the surrounding Tarentaise mountains. From the top fifth floor, five private apartments — outfitted with open fireplaces and hand-picked antiques — place you on par with the peaks. And you'll have prime views of the mountains from your floor-to-ceiling balcony doors.
Despite having only 41 rooms and suites, the resort sports an impressive seven bars and restaurants, including cigar lounge The Smoking Room; modern Savoyard fare at La Grande Ourse, housed in a historic chalet at the foot of the slopes; and Peruvian-influenced Japanese at celeb chef Nobu's Matsuhisa Val d'Isère.
You'll have access to the highest quality ski gear and accessories by luxury brands ready and waiting for you in the Bernard Orcel Ski Room, where the valets will get you properly kitted out and welcome you back with hot drinks and crêpes when you return from your time on the slopes.
